Well, I finally have all my pics ready to show you of my latest piece. Brace yourself! There are many photos! This piece has so much detail that I wanted to show you and I hope you will enjoy it. Here is the description of the artwork:

• 1969-1970 "HIMARK" Jewelry Music Box with Automaton Swinging Bird from Japan

• The bird swings to the song: "Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head"

• Vintage late 1940s/ post WWII Red Velvet "Forget-Me-Not" Flowers "Made in Germany East"

• Bird has been dyed black with India Ink

• New Acrylic Clear Panels for Roof

• Violet Sheer Ribbon

Creative Process for "There is No Worry Among the Birds and Flowers"

I thought I'd put together an image explaining the creative process for my latest piece, "There is No Worry Among the Birds and Flowers" altered art. More photos of the new piece to follow.

My new artwork "A Love Letter to Frieda and Diego Rivera" is now for sale at my Etsy Shop :)

Just in time for Valentines Day, my new artwork "A Love Letter to Frieda and Diego Rivera" is now for sale at my Etsy shop.

The Altered Art is made out of a candy box in the shape of a heart. The front of the box has an original illustration of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. The back of the box has handmade feather wings. When you open the heart box it reveals an original illustration of a Victorian hand attached to a clothespin holding a "love letter" to the painting by Frida Kahlo. [This letter can be easily removed and you can insert you own Valentine to the one you love! ;)] When you remove the ribbon and open the letter it reveals my love for this painting. This can easily be hung on a wall by it's wire loop, or nicely placed on a plate stand for display.
