"Japanese Lolita Fashion" Tea Tins for March 8th Show at the Old Sugar Mill, 2nd Saturday Sacramento!

So, over the last 3 months I have been busy preparing for my next art show at The Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg, CA for Second Saturday. The first thing I did was make Japanese Lolita Tea Tins. These hand painted and inked Japanese rice paper illustrations decoupaged onto Japanese Mulberry paper, sealed with Matte Acrylic Spray and finally, embellished with different laces, velvet and satin ribbons and pom-poms. :) My inner love of "cute" is just beginning :) I will be selling these original works of art at the Second Saturday art show at the Old Sugar Mill on March 8th from 12-4. They will be $28 a piece, or $25 if more than one is purchased.

Top to bottom:

"Sweet Lolita"
"Country Lolita" and "Shiro [White] Lolita"

A new [belated!] Blog Update! Last Year, Christmas 2013 I painted Perfume Bottles and Ornaments for Coty at Macy's in Sacramento, CA!

Well, it's been so busy I haven't posted since November! Horrible, I know! I find myself posting mostly to my Farinsky Art Studio Facebook page: [https://www.facebook.com/pages/Farinsky-Art-Studio/137094472989756  ] So, for those of you NOT on Facebook, here are some pics of a fun event I participated in in December. Coty hired me to paint perfume bottles and Christmas ornaments for a "Christmas in the City" Event at Macy's in Sacramento, Ca.  The Coty company chose "Venice" as their city. Here are photes of my designs for Coty:

And, here are some pictures from the event:

What a fun experience! :) Now to post what what I've been doing since December! :)
